This week looks a tough one with an upset or two quite on the cards.

Thursday March 29:

Adelaide v Richmond: A replay of last year's Grand Final. The Tigers were impressive last week while the Crows looked a little slow. In a tough call I'm tipping home ground advantage and the return of Tex Walker might tip the scales - just. ADELAIDE WIN

Friday March 30th:
North Melbourne v St Kilda: The 'Roos battled in wet conditions 6 days ago and face a confident Saints. ST KILDA LOSS

Saturdau March 31:
Carlton v Gold Coast: The Blues adopted a more attacking style but leaked goals. The Suns slugged it out in the wet and although they train in such conditions, the extra day's break sees me tipping CARLTON LOSS

Collingwood v GWS: I can't see the 'Pies scoring enough goals or stopping the Giant's potent forward line. GWS WIN

Brisbane v Melbourne: This could be a close one. The Lions weren't disgraced in Melbourne last week while the Demons keep losing close ones. A tough call, but I pick MELBOURNE WIN

Fremantle v Essendon: The Dockers will be keen to do well at their new home ground and their supporters will be out in force. A bit depends on the availability of Zac Merrett but I think the Bombers might win a tight one. ESSENDON LOSS

Sunday April 1:

Western Bulldogs v West Coast: The Dogs need to recapture the desperation that won them the 2016 flag while the Eagles have to start winning more away from home. The bookies say the Dogs but I say say WEST COAST WIN

Sydney v Port Adelaide: Both teams impressed last week, but the Swans have the home ground and Buddy Franklin. SYDNEY LOSS

Monday April 2

Geelong v Hawthorn: The round finishes with two fierce rivals facing off. The Cats midfield won't be letting Tom Mitchell rack up 50+ possessions but their backline looks inexperienced, especially with the injury to Harry Taylor. Even so, the Cats always are tough to beat at home. GEELONG LOSS - just!

The best result was provided by the away teams with 6 wins. The best our tipster could do was 4 from 9 by the men from the West.

There were definitely upsets but a number of games were expected to be close.
