We're into the last of the bye rounds and it's worth noting that sides coming off the bye continue to have a poor record. Just 1 of the 6 sides that have had the bye have gone on to lose their next match. The losers have included Finals aspirants Port Adelaide and West Coast. It has been much the same in previous years.

I'll also put on official record that Lee has tipped West Coast for the first game of the round.

Onto the games:

Thursday June 21:

West Coast v Essendon: The last time these two sides met, the Bombers won by over 10 goals. However, this is a different Eagles side and the Bombers are coming off the bye. WEST COAST LOSS

Friday June 22:

Port Adelaide v Melbourne: The Demons are one of the better performing teams this year but the Power have been impressive recently (and Melbourne had the bye last week!) PORT ADELAIDE WIN

Saturday June 23:

Hawthorn v Gold Coast: The Hawks won't be letting their finals aspirations slip against the struggling Suns. HAWTHORN WIN

Brisbane v GWS: Both sides are coming off a bye and the Giants still have injury woes. They should still win but the Lions could surprise. GWS WIN

Western Bulldogs v North Melbourne: The 'Roos are arguably the most improved side in the competition while the Doggies have been erratic and disappointing. Despite the bye factor I'm tipping NORTH MELBOURNE WIN

Sunday June 24:

Collingwood v Carlton: The 'Pies have played well thus far this year while the Blues were awful in the first half last week. This could get ugly. COLLINGWOOD WIN

Good luck all!

On a weekend when Essendon's win over the Eagles (@#&*!) brought everyone undone, Charles tipped 5 from 6 to increase his lead on the tipping board.
