The last of the Thursday night fixtures meaning from now on we can wait until the "ins" and "outs" are announced before making our tips for the weekend games.

There are a couple of tough games that could go either way this week.

Thursday July 12th:

Adelaide v Geelong: The Crows are a shadow of the 2017 team and have been plagued by injuries and inconsistency. They will be buoyed by the signing of Sloane and will be playing for pride (and a slim finals chance) at home against a solid Cats outfit. This could be very close. GEELONG LOSS

Friday July 13th:

Saint Kilda v Carlton: Friday nights were supposed to be blockbusters but the Saints have slashed admission prices to attract spectators. This is a "Who cares" game. SAINT KILDA WIN

Saturday July 14th:

Hawthorn v Brisbane: The LIons have won their last two in convincing fashion but the Hawks are playing for a finals berth. HAWTHORN LOSS

Melbourne v Western Bulldogs: The Demons got back on the winning list (albeit against Fremantle) and the Doggies will miss "The Bont". MELBOURNE WIN

Gold Coast v Essendon: The Suns always play better at home and the Bombers' finals chances are all but shot. However, I can't go past ESSENDON WIN

GWS v Richmond: A replay of last year's preliminary final. The Tigers have a couple of "outs" due to injury but their depth should see them get over the Giants. RICHMOND LOSS

Sunday July 15th:

Collingwood v West Coast: Second against 3rd and the 'Pies have an impressive record recently but they have only played one Top 8 side since going down against the Cats in round 8. On the other hand, who do the Eagles get back this week and can they overcome the MCG hoodoo? I'm leaving this until the teams are announced. Reluctantly - COLLINGWOOD LOSS

North Melbourne v Sydney: This should be a cracking game. The Swans have injury concerns with McVeigh, Hannebery and Jack most likely out. The 'Roos are playing solid football but, in a close one, SYDNEY. WIN

Fremantle v Port Adelaide: The Dockers are always better at home but the Power look genuine Premiership contenders. PORT ADELAIDE LOSS

Good luck, We might need it!

Some major upsets with some teams' finals planning thrown into turmoil.

Flin was head and shoulders our best tipster with 7 from 9 with 4 being next best.

The AFL needs to drug test the Lions, and check to see if the Hawks have been betting against themselves eh???
