Russia says Britain helped fake Syria chemical attack, calls for emergency UN meeting to 'avert danger of war'

user posted image
Donald Trump said missiles "will be coming" and lambasted Moscow for standing by Bashar al-Assad.

The White House says it is "confident" the Syrian Government was responsible for a suspected chemical weapons attack in the rebel-held Syrian town of Douma one week ago.

But Russia's Defence Ministry claims Britain was involved in "faking" the attack — which a Syrian medical relief group said killed at least 60 people.

....................

Kremlin floats theory UK staged attack.

In a televised briefing on Friday, Russia's Ministry of Defence repeated the government's stance that the attack was faked, adding that it had proof that Britain participated in its staging.

"We have … evidence that proves Britain was directly involved in organising this provocation," defence ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

Mr Konashenkov said that Russia knew "for sure" that between April 3-6, the White Helmets — a group which helps civilians in opposition-held territory in Syria — were "under severe pressure specifically from London to produce as quickly as possible this pre-planned provocation".

Britain's UN Ambassador Karen Pierce denied Britain was in any way involved.

A chemical attack that Assad had no real motivation to carry out - Trump is playing a very dangerous game, bomb Syria without all the facts, declare war via tweets.

Russian state TV has advised people to pack essentials, which include packing iodine to protect the body from radiation, at least Russian civilians are prepared for war and they have bomb shelters.

The progressive media want us to believe that Trump will start WW3 but I don't think he will do any such thing.

"We can say that the Syrian Government was behind this attack. We know that this was a chemical weapon that was used. The exact kind or the mix, that we are still looking into. A lot of this stuff is classified at this point," State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said.

Yet they have gone ahead with strikes. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif

Tucker: Why is Washington united behind a war in Syria?

Tucker: Virtually all of official Washington, Republicans and Democrats, have united behind the idea that the United States has a moral obligation to go deeper into war in Syria after a suspected gas attack. Yet, our merely asking obvious questions, we are told to shut up and just obey.

Syria: Donald Trump's 'World War III' attack on Hillary Clinton is coming back to haunt him.

The Syrian conflict could spark World War III.

Who says so? Donald Trump.

Yes, in 2016 as he battled Hillary Clinton for the presidency, Mr Trump said the Clinton plan for Syria would "lead to World War III", pitting two nuclear powers — the US and Russia — directly against each other.

In an interview with Reuters, then Republican candidate Trump, said the focus should be more on Islamic State than Bashar al Assad's Syria; indeed ousting Assad, he argued, was "secondary, to me, to ISIS".

Fast forward and there are new warnings of a global conflict and it is President Trump himself who finds himself at the centre.

Could this spell World War III?

Who would know what the truth of all this is? Too many egotistical nutters loose in positions of power. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_IMHO.png .If it were leader against leader in hand to hand, would there be less trouble making around the globe? ....and the US can be trusted? remember who was responsible for the destruction in Yugoslavia, Iraq, and Libya.

The US 'alleged' that there was a chemical attack in the town of Douma without all the facts, after a massive airstrike the UN sends in OPCW inspectors, why after the airstrike - while the US still has a large stockpile of chemical weapons.

How many civilians did this airstrike kill - my guess is more than the 'alleged' chemical attack.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

A perfectly executed strike last night. Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for their wisdom and the power of their fine Military. Could not have had a better result. Mission Accomplished!

10:21 PM - Apr 14, 2018

Accomplished what, more destruction, more deaths, more refugees...what an ass!

Does anyone here remember what Trump said before the US election? Trump cannot be trusted.

Trump also had attacked Hillary Clinton, his Democratic opponent for president, in the days before the November 2016 election, claiming she planned to attack Syria if she was elected and suggesting that would be a bad idea: “We’re spending $6 trillion dollars on wars in the Middle East, while our own country falls into total disrepair,” he said in a statement released on his website. “Now Hillary wants to start a shooting war in Syria, in conflict with a nuclear-armed Russia, which could lead to World War 3.”

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
The President must get Congressional approval before attacking Syria-big mistake if he does not!

9:02 AM - Aug 31, 2013

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
AGAIN, TO OUR VERY FOOLISH LEADER, DO NOT ATTACK SYRIA - IF YOU DO MANY VERY BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN & FROM THAT FIGHT THE U.S. GETS NOTHING!

11:20 PM - Sep 5, 2013

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
President Obama, do not attack Syria. There is no upside and tremendous downside. Save your "powder" for another (and more important) day!

11:21 PM - Sep 7, 2013

Replying to @Walaa3ssaf
@walaa_3ssaf No, dopey, I would not go into Syria, but if I did it would be by surprise and not blurted all over the media like fools.

If the U.S. attacks Syria and hits the wrong targets, killing civilians, there will be worldwide hell to pay. Stay away and fix broken U.S.

Hi ho, Hi ho, it's off to war we go. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/lbill.gif

I don't often quote Senator Jim Molan but in this case it's worth a try.

Prior to the strikes, Jim said, (from memory last Thursday), that 'the war in Syria is over - Assad has won.'

Interesting, because that's not what the MSM is telling us.....at least not in Australia.

The BBC ran a report a couple of weeks ago on the state of play in Syria, and they said the same thing as Molan - but they went further with maps showing who controls what areas.

In simple terms, every area that the Assad forces have overrun he has offered to bus out the Free Syrian Army/Al Qaeda/U.S. Special Forces to safe areas in Idlib, so....as Assad takes control his opposition are being confined to a small area in the north west of Syria.

A strip across the north of Syria is controlled by the Kurds, who are not too happy that the U.S. didn't protect them from the FSA and the Turks who crossed the border. To add to the confusion, the Turks have apparently withdrawn their military after assurances given by Russia to maintain a buffer on the border.

The 'rebel' forces in Idlib are now surrounded and cannot be resupplied, so it's only a matter of time before they will be forced to negotiate a cessation of hostilities.

Were chemical weapons used in Douma ? The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons was supposed to arrive in Damascus on Saturday 14th to conduct tests, but that had to be postponed because of the air strikes. It's supposed to happen today.

I find it strange that the air strikes pre-empted the gathering of evidence.

The only 'evidence' that we have been given is that offered by the 'White Helmets' and the Syrian American Medical Society. Both of these organisations are funded by the U.S., the U.K. and France - who would have guessed that ? http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif

Their work in Syria is to provide paramedic and medical services exclusively in areas controlled by the FSA/Al Qaeda/U;S. Special Forces apparently - or to put another spin on it - to provide 'field hospitals for the enemies of Assad.

The 'White Helmets' only ever appear when a 'rebel' held area is about to be overrun, and the same allegations of 'chemical warfare resurface. Just sayin.

So.....if there is some doubt over the authenticity of the claims of 'chemical warfare', and I presume that the U.S., the U.K., and France would be aware of this - Why then the 'air strikes' that do nothing except maybe 'send a message to the 'animal who kills his own people.'

Could it be that, realising that the 'regime change adventure in Syria is a disaster, the 'coalition if the gullible' have decided to kick some ass on their way out ?

We may never know the truth of what is happening in Syria, but someone needs to be held responsible for the deaths of 500,000 people, the displacement of over 10 million people, and the destruction of what was once a beautiful secular democracy.

And what is wrong Bill, with putting the blame squarely where it belongs?

Go back in history, way before OIL, and the only time there has been peace in the region is when brutal, barbaric dictators have had their jack boots firmly across the throats any opposition.

That Bill is the ISLAMIC way. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif

Always has been and always will be.

Yes, the west and Russia should just keep out of it and let them slaughter themselves.
