Four games down and we've all scored ONE win - except for scepo. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/biggrin.gif http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/lbill.gif

Cameron Smith did say, at the beginning of the season, that the competition would be close - and that was before the refs got involved in awarding 33 penalties in the Storm/Sharkies match. The coaches would be now oaching, not on how to score4 tries, but how to milk a penalty.

When Paul Gallen was asked for a comment, all he said was MOOOOOO.

Definitely a round of upsets with a modest 4 from 8 being the best score.

I note a lot of complaining about the number of penalties being awarded but aren't the ref's just applying the laws of the game? If their interpretations are stricter, surely it's up to the players (and coaches) to adapt.
We saw something similar in the opening game of the AFL with 50 metre penalties being handed out. It didn't take long for players and coaches to avoid the infringements.

Rugby League has rules Charles that traditionally have never been enforced, or at least poorly enforced.

When the refs do their job and enforce the rules, those who used to complain about the rules not being enforced, turn around and complain about them being enforced. http://fairdinkumnewschat.com/rolleyes.gif

I cannot think of another sport that comes close to it in that regard. http://fairdinkumnewschat.b1.jcink.com/uploads/fairdinkumnewschat/smiley_don_t_know.gif
