I've tried to offer some insights into the games this weekend a la the contributions by Charles. I wouldn't read too much into it though. I still tossed the coin.
Tips in RED CAPITALS
Thursday 10th May:
West Tigers v COWBOYS LOSS
Tigers have had tough physical games since the start of the season, so I expect that they will be carrying some injuries. Benji Marshall lo9oked knackered at the end of the game last weekend. Cowboys for mine - they appear to be finding their 'mojo'.
Friday 11th May:
KNIGHTS v Panthers LOSS
On paper, the Panthers look like a shoe-in, but I've been prepared to tip against them on the premise that Jimmy Maloney will hit the wall. Without Jimmy firing, the Panthers struggle. A close one with the home side getting the advantage.
Bulldogs v EELS LOSS
Bulldog unimpressive in their game against the Broncos. All three tries scored when Broncos players 'fell over'' on sandy surface. The Eels should account for them.
Saturday 12th May:
WARRIORS v Roosters LOSS
Warriors at home will be too good
STORM v Titans WIN
Storm were overrun by a brutal Dragons last week, and Cam Smith soldiered on for half the game with an injury to his 'crown jewels'. The hapless Titans will be no match for them at home.
Sea Eagles v BRONCOS LOSS
This is actually a 'home game' for the Broncos, as Manly gave up Brookvale Oval for Suncorp for the Indigenous Round. That won't do them any favours as the Broncos have managed to sign the goal posts under their salary cap. Both goal posts will be in the run on side.....I'm told.
If you are a Broncos fan, they are starting Kodi Nikorima at halfback.
I sent Wayne a new 'game plan' but he seems to have ignored it. My recommendation was that he started Anthony Milford on the bench - and leave him there. If Wayne felt compelled to give Milf a run, Alfie should give the message to the team..."Don't give Milf the ball under any circumstances".
Broncos should win this one easily.
Rabbitohs v DRAGONS LOSS
Hard to see anyone beating the Dragons at the moment, but if anyone can, it's the Pommy battering rams, the Burgess brothers. This will be a corker of a game though, if you are into big hits rather than finesse.
RAIDERS v Sharks LOSS
Sharks ran out of puff last week, and nearly got run down. The Raiders will still be firing at the 80th minute. For mine, Sticky's Green Machine.
Good Luck everyone

| Usual head in sand guesses.
As always, no bloody idea.

| Just got in - Puffing and panting .... Am I late?
Here are my tips anyway
Cowboys - only because I'm late and they are the away team. Otherwise I would have gone Tigers. LOSS ... and as it turned out I could have had my preference posted in time!

|I was going to tip Tigers as well Charles until I read Bills comment that the Cowboys appear to be getting their mojo back. So it is Bills fault.|

Hmmmph - Typical bloody right winger - always blame someone else.
Six games down and so far I've tipped one winner.
Sorry if I've led anyone astray.
Al least we know why Morgan is way below his best - he's had a serious injury to his crown jewells and can't stretch out. Paul Green may have to rest him, if they want him to recover. SofO may be out for Morgan this year.

| A poor round for our tipsters with Scepo's 3 from 8 heading the field.
There's always next week!

|Had I not bothered tipping, I would have got 3 from 8 for the 'away teams' wins......but 1 from 8 is better than Zero from 8....I suppose.|
